Publishing research data is a repository and preserving it long-term are related but distinct processes(more information on preservation below). Publishing data in a repository makes your data openly accessible and citable, while preservation ensures it remains accessible in the long-term. Many repositories (including those listed below) support both, allowing you to decide how and whether to share your data. We highly recommend publishing your research data in a data repository to maximise its impact and accessibility.
Lib4RI recommendation: Use the institutional data repositories (see below) or a field-specific data repository, if possible. If these solutions can't be used, we recommend Zenodo as a generalist solution.
