Open Access Week 2025

The motto of this year's International Open Access Week is "Who owns our knowledge?". Very much in line with this question, we are delighted to welcome one of the leading Swiss experts in Data and Technology law, David Rosenthal, for a keynote "AI & copyright: friends or foes?".

Join in on 22 October, 14.:00 - 15:00 onsite (Eawag Dübendorf, FC-C20) or online via Zoom!

Behind the bookshelves: Publishing, politics and more...

Every first Tuesday of the month, 13:30 - 14:00h, online.

Ever asked yourself who really decides on article processing charges (APCs)? How you can harness your open research data in the age of AI training? And how your work can be valued beyond just citation counts?

There is a lot going on behind the bookshelves of the library! Grab a coffee and join us for a quick session where we’ll unpack the latest debates in publishing and science policy - and show why they matter to your research.

Upcoming sessions

  • 04. November - CoARA: Coalition for Alternative Research Assessment, Swiss Chapter
  • 02. December - Big deals with publishers
  • 06. January - CC Signals: Public licensing in the age of AI
