As the Head of Lib4RI I am responsible for the strategy, the budget and the operational management of the library. After joining in 2010 and managing the merger of the libraries in 2011, I was involved in several projects to improve library services and library processes. Primarily, the focus was on discovery and management of digital resources, but this is increasingly shifting towards library services on scholarly communication, such as our training courses and our institutional repository.

Before joining Lib4RI, I served as Head of Collection Development at ETH Library in Zurich. Until 2006, I worked as Deputy Head and Head Librarian at the Medical Library of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and, until 2001, as Subject Librarian and Head of a Department Library at the Technische Universität Berlin.

I studied horticulture in Munich-Weihenstephan and worked as a scientist in agroecological entomology in Bayreuth, obtaining my PhD in 1998. In 1999, I obtained a certificate (DGI) as an information manager in the life sciences.
