Play RDM Bingo!

Organise your data/code and get rewarded! Grab a data set or coding project, accomplish research data management tasks and be entered to win a 100 CHF gift card.

Good research data management doesn't have to feel like a chore. With Research Data Management Bingo, you can apply best practices to your existing projects (like writing documentation for your data or setting up version control) and earn entries to win one of four 100 CHF Digitec gift cards along the way. The more tasks you complete, the more entries you earn. Play until 30 June, and then we will select one winner from each institute. So grab a new or existing project and get started!

How to play:

Get a board: Sign up using your 4RI institutional email (Eawag, Empa, PSI, WSl or SLF) to receive your 5×5 Bingo board. Each square represents a best-practice task you can complete. Winners will only be selected if they have an email from the 4RIs.
Complete tasks: Click on a square to submit proof that you've completed the task. Each submission requires:
- A valid URL as proof — either a link to a specific recent (within the last month) commit on a git repository, or a public link to a screenshot uploaded to a file-sharing service (e.g. ownCloud, SWITCHdrive, Google Drive, etc.).
- A short description (minimum 3 words, maximum 1000 words) of what you did to complete the task.
Get Bingo: Complete an entire row, column, or diagonal to score a Bingo! Once you complete your first Bingo, your win is submitted automatically to the public Winners page, and you can download a personalised winner badge to share (and tag us on social media @Lib4RI on LinkedIn and Bluesky!).
Winners page: All winners are displayed publicly. Hovering over completed squares on the winner's board shows the description of what was done (unless you've indicated you'd like to remain anonymous).
