New Website Online

Dr. Jochen Bihn & Dr. Lothar Nunnenmacher

Over the course of the last few months, we have been busily working to create the website you’re now looking at. Launched on March 24, the new website serves as Lib4RI’s virtual branch, replacing and unifying the websites of Lib4RI’s founding libraries. Both the look and the functions of the website have been developed from scratch in cooperation with Hinderling Volkart Web Identity, Zurich. Our goal was to provide quick access to the collection of resources and services we offer. One of the most notable features of the website is the green searchbox in the upper right corner of every page. The searchbox provides direct and convenient access to the most often used local and remote print and digital resources.

In the background, our new site has been built using a content management system that makes it much easier for us to keep the site dynamic and constantly updated. It also means we can respond quickly to your ideas about how to make the site work even better for you. More than ever we appreciate your feedback. Please give us your thoughts and suggestions in our Feedback Forum, write us an e-mail or give your feedback in person at one of the library branches.
