New Database: Phase Equilibria Diagrams Online

Dr. Rainer Rees

Phase Equilibria Diagrams Online is a new database published by The American Ceramics Society (ACerS) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The database comprises all phase equilibria diagrams previously published in hard copy format in the book series of the same name.

There are about 25,000 phase equilibria diagrams in the database. While other phase equilibria diagram databases often focus on alloys, this database is unique because it includes phase equilibria diagrams on oxides, salts, semiconductors, borides, carbides and nitrides. It is thus especially helpful for material scientists. A general discussion on phase diagrams is also included.

Please follow the installation instructions on the start page of the website to install the phase equilibria diagram viewer and make sure that you have the latest version of Java installed on your computer. A help section on how to use the database is also available.

If you are looking for other chemical or physical material properties you can look for it on our website in the references section. We highly appreciate your feedback on the phase equilibria online database via eresources@lib4ri.ch.
