Refworks has solved recent access problems to departmental and author publication lists. All customized links are working again. They can be found on our website (www.lib4ri.ch > Institutional Bibliography).
We use the RefWorks/RefShare system to manage the institutional bibliographies of Eawag and Empa and provide links to the publications lists for each department on our website. Since the last RefWorks update these links are broken.
From a reference management system you would expect that you can organize, structure and make your references findable. A quick search as well as a search over all fields with different combinations should be on hand. Indices can also be helpful, e.g. for an author search. All these search features, however, disappeared with the RefWorks update last week.
Because our custom links to the publication list for all departments and authors at Eawag and Empa are based on these search features, these links do not work anymore. RefWorks is working on this problem, but is not able to tell us when this will be fixed. Therefore, we are forced to go back to an older RefWorks version on our website so that the links to the departments or authors work again. You can find the updated and working links for each department on our website (www.lib4ri.ch > Institutional Bibliography). If you would like to change the links to your references, you should change «refshare2» to «refshare» in the URL.
