Hiring Project Manager (80%)

Lib4RI is looking for a Project Manager (80%, m/f/d) to coordinate two work packages in the two-year cooperative project  "Open e-Learning Modules for Open Research Data (ORD) and Research Data Management (RDM)", co-financed by the ORD programme of the ETH domain. The position requires an expertise in ORD and RDM, as well as willingness to work collaboratively with project partners across all institutions within the ETH domain. Key responsibilities:

  • Active participation in a cooperative project which aims to create e-learning modules on ORD and RDM
  • Management of the "Knowledge exchange" work package, which aims to ensure knowledge transfer from the RDM teams of the two technical universities ETH Zurich and EPFL, to the four research institutes within the ETH Domain
  • Management of the work package "Continuous operation and sustainability", which will conceptualise the long-term sustainability of the developed e-learning modules
  • Contributions to the work packages "Communication" and "Online platform", as well as to the other two work packages depending on the needs of the project
  • Membership in the project's executive committee and support of the project leader in the preparation of content and financial reports for the steering committee

Qualifications:

  • University degree, preferably in the natural or engineering sciences
  • In-depth knowledge of research data management and, preferably, teaching experience on the topic 
  • High affinity to IT-based systems and excellent Office skills 
  • Strong communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, a high degree of service orientation, initiative, and willingness to take on responsibility
