Electronic Resources: Changes in 2022

Each new year brings changes to our e-journal, e-book and database subscriptions based on pricing, usage, and user feedback. While we maintained our core subscriptions, we added some products and dropped others.

Read and Publish Deals

We continuously work alongside the «Consortium of Swiss Academic Libraries» to negotiate Read & Publish agreements. As of 1 January 2022, corresponding authors affiliated with the 4RIs will be able to publish in IOP , AIP, and IEEE journals. Furthermore, we are proud to announce that we are the first Swiss research library to reach an agreement with the Microbiology Society, which apart from read access to all Society journals, enables uncapped Open Access publishing for researches from the 4RIs.

Finally, it is unfortunate that there has been no progress in the negotiation with Oxford University Press (OUP) in the past month. OUP is still committing to maintain access as long as the negotiations continue.
