Completed projects

Lib4RI pursues a project-based approach to continuously enhance and expand our library services. Our completed projects evolve into established services and inform future development. Below is a selection of our featured projects and their outcomes. 

Completed in 2025

  • The Lib4RI Open Access fund supports authors at Eawag, Empa, PSI and WSL who wish to publish in fully Open Access (OA) journals and who are required to pay an article processing charge (APC). In the framework of the National OA Fund project, the ETH board financially supports the Open Access fund for the years 2022 to 2025.

  • To stay on track with our users' needs, Lib4RI wants to regularly evaluate itself. With the 2024 user survey we therefore aimed to review our performance, improve our services and overall user experience, and extend our portfolio.

    We are delighted by the overall positive rating (7.8 out of 9) for our overall services. We also took action from points users have been raising.
