- Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
Comprehensive database of Open Access journals covering all scientific and scholarly subjects. To be included in the DOAJ, journals must use a funding model that does not charge readers or their institutions for access and must exercise peer-review or editorial quality control.
- Electronic Journals Library (EZB)
The EZB is the most comprehensive database for academic e-journals. It provides general information and links to the full-text of more than 75,000 journals, more than half of which are Open Access journals.
- OA in Individual Disciplines (open-access.net)
Experts from various disciplines have compiled information including disciplinary repositories and open access journals.
- SHERPA/RoMEO is a searchable database of publisher's policies regarding the self-archiving of journal articles on the web and in Open Access repositories.
- Web of Science Master Journal List
The Web of Science Master Journal List (formerly known as the «Thomson Reuters Master Journal List») includes all journal titles covered in the databases of the Web of Science. Impact Factors are calculated only for a subset of these journals and published yearly in the InCites Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
- Zeitschriftendatenbank (ZDB)
The ZDB is the world’s largest specialized database for serial titles (journals, annuals, newspapers etc., incl. e-journals). The ZDB contains more than 2 million bibliographic records of serials from the 16th century onwards, from all countries, in all languages, held in 3,620 German and Austrian libraries, with 18.4 million holdings information.

Most journal abbreviations are based on a word list from the ISSN's «List of Title Word Abbreviations». Use this list to build an abbreviation word by word. If the journal title has only one word, the title should not be abbreviated (e.g. Nature, Cell). - WoS Journal Title Abbreviations

It contains articles' metadata for over 30,000 journals (including more than 14,000 selected Open Access journals) from over 3,300 publishers and pulls together a database of Table of Contents (TOCs) providing a convenient single interface to these TOCs. It also offers an e-mail alerting service on the latest articles of your followed journals.
