Fabian Felder to take over as Head of the Lib4RI Library on 1 May 2027

On 1 May 2027, Fabian Felder, currently a team leader at the Lib4RI Library, will take over as Head of Lib4RI. He will thus succeed Lothar Nunnenmacher.

Lothar will retire on 31 July 2027 after 17 successful years at Lib4RI. During this time, he has had a significant influence on the library and has excellently positioned it as a support department for researchers at the four research institutes. We thank Lothar warmly for his many years of dedication and wish him all the best for this new chapter in his life.

At the same time, we are delighted that, in Fabian Felder, we have been able to secure an experienced and well-known successor to lead Lib4RI.

Fabian will take up his new role as Head of Lib4RI on 1 May 2027. The subsequent induction period will allow him to take on his new responsibilities carefully and gradually. As the current Head of the Digital Services Group, Fabian Felder has a comprehensive understanding of Lib4RI’s services, workflows and strategic priorities. This provides the ideal conditions for continuity and the successful further development of the library and its partnerships.
