• The Lib4RI Journal List

Lib4RI subscribes to more than 15'000 electronic journals. All licensed journals are included in the Lib4RI Journal List. Additionally, the list also includes many thousand Open Access journals. You can search the list for journal titles or browse by title, subject or publisher.

A click on the SFX button will open a new window with links to full-text articles, information about available years, and any other information you might need to access the journal such as usernames and passwords.

The list of journals changes over time as new titles are added and other are removed. The Lib4RI Journal List is updated regularly to reflect these changes and also includes up-to-date information about temporary access problems.

Journal Directories

• Electronic Journals Library (EZB)
  The EZB is the most comprehensive database for academic e-journals. It provides general information and links to the full-text of more than 46'000 journals, more than half of which are Open Access journals.
  
• Thomson Reuters Master Journal List
  The Thomson Reuters Master Journal List (formerly known as the «ISI Master Journal List») includes all journal titles covered in the databases of Thomson Reuters. Impact Factors are calculated only for a subset of these journals and published yearly in the Journal Citation Reports.
  
• Zeitschriftendatenbank (ZDB)
  The ZDB is the world’s largest specialized database for serial titles (journals, annuals, newspapers etc., incl. e-journals). The ZDB contains more than 1.6 million bibliographic records of serials from the 16th century onwards, from all countries, in all languages, held in 4'300 German and Austrian libraries, with 11.5 million holdings information.

Journal Title Abbreviations

• CAS Source Index (CASSI)
  Abbreviations for journals in the chemical and biological sciences.
• List of Title Word Abbreviations
  Most journal abbreviations are based on a word list from the ISSN's «List of Title Word Abbreviations». Use this list to build an abbreviation word by word. If the journal title has only one word, the title should not be abbreviated (e.g. Nature, Cell).
• WoS Journal Title Abbreviations
  Full name and abbreviation of journals in the «Web of Science».
• WSL List of Journal Abbreviations
  Abbreviations for journal titles according to ISO standard; maintained by the Editorial Office at WSL.

Open Access

• Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
  Comprehensive database of Open Access journals covering all scientific and scholarly subjects. To be included in the DOAJ, journals must use a funding model that does not charge readers or their institutions for access and must exercise peer-review or editorial quality control.
  
• SHERPA/RoMEO
  RoMEO is a searchable database of publisher's policies regarding the self-archiving of journal articles on the web and in Open Access repositories.
