Ten Years.
2021 was a milestone year: our 10-year anniversary! 10 years since the libraries of the four Swiss federal research institutes Eawag, Empa, PSI, and WSL merged. 10 years of commitment to «excellent services for excellent research». 10 years Lib4RI.
We took this opportunity to thank all Lib4RI users, the Lib4RI steering committee, and the board of directors of the four research institutes for their continued support over the past decade.
10 Years Lib4RI – A Retrospective in Figures
We took the 10th anniversary of the library as an opportunity to summarize the developments, accomplishments and trends within these ten years in a few figures (2011-2020).
10 Years Lib4RI – A Retrospective in 10 Short Films
We look back on our continued commitment to «excellent services for excellent research», many new resources for our researchers, exciting new services – such as our institutional repository DORA, new Open Access options, or our extensive training programs – and finally – a live event to celebrate our anniversary.
On this occasion, the library team produced the film «10 Years Lib4RI – A Retrospective» (comprised of 10 short films and a little more) to give you a humorous insight into all of our developments and achievements over the past ten years. Inspired by film classics/genres, we added our personal touch in a parodic way. Enjoy!

Celebrating our anniversary together!
Programme
The special occasion was celebrated with an event on 25 November 2021 at Tanzwerk101 in Zurich. It featured speeches from members of the directorate of the four research institutes and the world premiere of our very own film production. The incredible Patti Basler and Philippe Kuhn performed on stage and the powerful live-band Sissy Fox electrified the audience. A party with DJ Chrigi G. us Z., great food, and a bar rounded up the evening.

SOLA Relay
May 2022
Lib4RI participated as a team in the 2022 SOLA-relay.
The SOLA-relay is the largest university sports event in Switzerland. It is a cross-country running race organised by ASVZ. Some 900 teams participate every year.
